Latin love

Today I will be featuring a selection of fun stuff from Topshop’s La Latina Spring Summer 2010 collection.
The look is totally modern and fresh, more suited to teenagers, young adults and ladies who are between the ages of 30 and 40 years old.
Prints dominate. You will find polka dots on jeans, tops and scarves and heart motifs on sweaters, Ts and shorts. But it is mainly about flower power with La Latina, inspired from New York’s Latin Quarter and Hip Hop heroines of the 80s and 90s.
There are lots of colors in this season’s looks but they aren’t loud and garish. Whites are coordinated with black, soft blue matched with vibrant orange and pastel colors teamed with washed denim.
Simple looking, casual shorts are given new life by cleverly matching them with denim jackets and long sweaters. These are then matched with stunning footwear and stockings with hearts and butterflies motifs.
Faded denim, ruffles and lace give the collection a Sicilian feel. It’s hard not to stand out in La Latina's collection.
