Posted by: Phat Mama, 25-Nov-2008If you canít leave your front door without your mascara on then I would suggest you look out for a 25 feet truck bearing Christian Dior (CD)ís logo for the next couple of days.
Since mid November this truck has been plying Malaysian roads, stopping at various shopping malls throughout the Klang Valley, Ipoh, Penang, Malacca and Johor in a first-ever unique CD marketing campaign.
This is what Dior's truck looks like - a billboard on wheels.
Whatís inside the truck is a specially designed CD beauty counter, similar to what you see in shopping malls. The interior of the truck is divided into several sections Ė Product Display and Make-up Tables complete with chairs and mirrors. So if you see this truck make sure you get onboard and try out CDís latest Diorshow Iconic Mascara for that is exactly the purpose of the truck.
Customers who dare take that first step into the truck and try out the new mascara is also given a free lash measuring service from CDís beauty experts using its special lash measuring tool. After youíve done up your eyes, the beauticians will thank you further by giving you the mascara in deluxe size. How does that sound to you?
The truck has visited 1 Utama (old wing), Sunway Pyramid and Bangsar Village 2 in the Klang Valley. In Ipoh it was spotted at Ipoh Parade/Kinta City, and in Penang it was at Gurney Plaza, and Queensbay Mall.
You have two more dates to catch the truck, especially those in the South Ė Nov 28 at Plaza Pelangi, Nov 29 at Tebrau City and Nov 30 at Mahkota Parade in Malacca.
But just in case you werenít lucky enough to spot the truck then keep a lookout for Diorís press advertisements for other locations and dates.
Although the mascara has been in the Malaysian market since August this year, the event launch and roadshow have taken off only recently. Its launch party was held at the La Bodega outlet at Kuala Lumpurís latest shopping mall the Pavilion.
Longer lashes and stronger curls from Diorshow Iconic Mascara.
It had an impressive guest list that included several famous local female bloggers, celebrities and the brandís business partners. Seen having a good time twirling the mascara on their lashes were Ning Baizura, Belinda Chee, Chermaine Soo, Emmeline Ng, Deborah Henry and Wincci Soo.
According to the brand, the Diorshow Iconic Mascara is high definition lash curler mascaraĒ, which combines professional make-up techniques with the House of Diorís Couture expertise. It is the first mascara with an oblique brush, which gives lashes that extra length and curl. The design of the brush is inspired by the ďbias cutĒ that allows maximum extension for an instant effect.
The Diorshow Iconic Mascara retails at RM98 and is available at all CD counters in Malaysia.
